Features
What This Filter Does
Fuel going into a diesel injection system needs to be clean. Even small amounts of rust, dirt, or water can wear down injector tips faster than you’d expect, especially on high-pressure common rail systems that Scania runs. This filter sits between the tank and the injection system and handles that job — trapping particles and separating water before they cause problems downstream.
Available Sizes
Two variants are available depending on your specific Scania model:
- Φ85 × Φ37 × 250 mm
- Φ95 × Φ43 × 234 mm
Check your existing filter dimensions or cross-reference with the part numbers listed below before ordering.

Construction
The filter uses pleated filter paper with a large folded surface area — this keeps flow resistance low even as the filter loads up with contaminants over time. End caps are solid and the housing seats firmly. Nothing fancy, but it holds up to normal diesel engine operating conditions without issue.
Fitment
Direct replacement for Scania trucks. No adapters, no bracket modifications — pull the old one out, put this one in. If you’re unsure about compatibility, compare the OD, ID, and height with your current filter, or check against the cross reference list above.
A Few Notes on Installation
Prime the filter with clean diesel before fitting it. If you run it dry on startup, you risk a delayed fuel prime which on some Scania systems can trigger a fault code. Also torque the housing to spec — overtightening the filter bowl is a common mistake that causes cracking over time.
Replace interval is typically every 20,000–30,000 km, but check your service manual. If you’re running biodiesel blends or operating in dusty environments, shorter intervals are worth considering.
